GOLFING HEAVEN

Fresh air, green rolling hills, stunning views, unlimited access to an 18 hole, top-rated course, plus a driving range, golf lessons and a well-stocked pro shop – what more could a golf enthusiast want? Golfing communities are the answer for anyone who loves to hit that little white ball down the fairway, but they are also popular with homebuyers who have other interests too.

Golf communities come with many side benefits like social clubs, community events, first-class dining, full-service spas, and other recreational facilities such as tennis and basketball courts, swimming pools, horse-back riding and walking trails.

These days, golf communities cater to all types of people from working singles and growing families to retiring baby boomers. Most people choose a golf community for the beautiful setting, the health benefits and the ready-made sense of neighborhood.

Homes in golf communities come in a wide range of sizes and price ranges. From luxury homes to vacation condos, your REALTOR® can find you a home that perfectly fits your lifestyle.

INSURING YOUR NEW HOME

Before you buy a home, it’s important to find out about the property’s insurance status. From the moment you and the seller execute an agreement of sale, you have an insurable interest in the property. These days, 2 out of 3 homes are underinsured, so you want to make sure that the property has adequate insurance before you move forward on the agreement.

It’s also important to find out if you can get new insurance once you are the owner. Before you sign an agreement, ask the seller to get a C.L.U.E. (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) personal property report. A C.L.U.E. report details the kind of damage claims that were previously made on the home. If too many claims have been made, it could be costly or difficult to get new coverage.

Since the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT) was passed in 2003, homeowners can get a free C.L.U.E. report once a year. Just go online to www.choicetrust.com and order your report.
